ACHR condemns serial blasts in Mumbai and Kashmir
Government urged to set up a relief fund for the victims of terrorist violence

New Delhi : Asian Centre for Human Rights (ACHR) today condemned the serial blasts by the terrorists in Mumbai and Kashmir in which over 100 innocent civilians have been killed.

“The serial bomb blasts are dastardly acts of terrorism that took hundreds of innocent lives and further aimed at creating communal riots and cause further loss of innocent human lives.” - stated Mr Suhas Chakma, Director of the Asian Centre for Human Rights.

Asian Centre for Human Rights urged the government of India to take all necessary and appropriate measures to nab the culprits behind the serial blasts and bring them to justice.

ACHR also urged the government of India and the State government of Maharashtra to provide immediate medical assistance to all the victims of the serial blasts and create a relief fund to provide assistance to the victims of violence by the terrorists.

“While all victims of the carnage by the enemies of humanity must be given compensation, it is essential that the governments consider the dependence of the family members on a particular victim and the kind of injuries received by the victims to assess the quantum of relief to be given.” – stated Mr Chakma further.
